Booking policies
Guarantee
Valcartier Rafting reserves the right to cancel any activity without prior notice and without any form of compensation whatsoever if the minimum number of participants is not met to guarantee a trip or for any other reason except under exceptional circumstances. Any deposit will be reimbursed.
Minimum number of people for trip :
Rafting: 4 people/trip
Riverboarding: 2 people/trip if there is a rafting trip at the same time, otherwise 4 people/trip
River tour: 4 people/trip
Miniraft: 20 people/trip
When it occasionally happens that the water level on the river is too high, Valcartier Rafting reserves the right, for safety reasons, to offer the activity on a different section of the river without prior notice or compensation.
Terms and Conditions of Participation
Rafting
- Participants must weigh 41 kg (90 lb.) or over
- Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Participants must be able to swim
- Participants must not be pregnant
- Participants must complete the medical questionnaire and the waiver beforehand
Riverboarding
- Participants must weigh 41 kg (90 pdù.) or over
- Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Participants must be strong swimmers
- Participants must be in good physical condition
- Participants must not be pregnant
- Participants must complete the medical questionnaire and the waiver beforehand
Miniraft
- Participants must weigh 27 kg (60 lb.) or over
- Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Participants must be able to swim
- Participants must not be pregnant
- Participants must complete the medical questionnaire and the waiver beforehand
River touring
- Participants must weigh 13 kg (30 lb.) or over
- Participants must not be pregnant
- This activity is available to everyone
Reservation Policy
Mandatory reservation :
Please book activities in advance because space is limited. We do accept late reservations, but only when space is available. Reserve early!
Deposit:
To secure a reservation, we require a non refundable deposit of $20 (taxes included) per person. Deposits can be paid by Visa or Mastercard. Corporate checks and money orders are accepted on the condition that they are received no more than 7 days after the reservation is made and 7 days before the activity. Reservations are not confirmed until deposits have been received.
Conditions:
Participants must arrive on time for activities or they risk losing their spot without compensation. Participants may be added to reservations at least 72 hours before the activity. All participants must meet the specific conditions of the activity for which they are signed up. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to exclude anyone not meeting the conditions for the activity for which they are signed up.
Cancellation:
The $20 non-refundable deposit of any person not present at the appointed time will be withheld. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your activity without contacting us by telephone, your reservation will automatically be cancelled. In the event of force majeure, you can change the date of your activity without penalty if the change is made at least 72 hours before the planned departure time. Within 72 hours of the planned departure time, your reservation will be cancelled, your nonrefundable deposits will be retained, and you will have to make a new reservation. One single change of date is allowed per reservation.
